JCScans is currently looking for individuals who have free time on their hands to help out in the following positions.
Editors( future projects):
Preferably well versed in photoshop and has free time to spare.Submit a sample of your work together with the original raw to apply(1 page only).Knowledge of redrawing and editing coloured pages is an added bonus.
However,because I’m so desperate for staff I’ll give you the job even if you know nothing about photoshop and teach you from scratch.

Cleaners( future projects):
Basically cleans speech bubbles and any smudges on the raws.Redrawing ability is an added bonus.No experience required.Must have photoshop and know levelling.I might give a test depending on your proficiency.
Translators(Current and future projects) <——C’mon guys PLEASE!!!
Japanese preferably…..No experience required.If you have a series you want scanlated just e-mail me and I’ll contact you to work out the details later.No time-frame to do the translations.Freelancers are also welcome.
Transcriber(For current and any future projects):
For those of you who don’t even know what this is,its the person who types out the Japanese characters in the manga on a document and sends it to the translator for translation.This helps to speed up the translating process.I’m willing to give some pointers on how to do so…but is pretty time consuming and tedious.
You should be able to recognize the horribly written squiggly characters mangaka write into the side their speech bubbles,because I hate those things a lot.Make sure you’re accurate because it just confuses me if there’s mistakes.
Proofreader/Quality Cheker(Future projects)
Strictly speaking I don’t really believe in quality checking as much though I do want high quality stuff.I don’t have many positions to accommodate you at the moment because the number of series we do is very few.
So…
To become one you must be very very available at all times.I could e-mail you the chapter and boom its back in an hour(or in a few hours).Preferably you should be able to spot editing errors,grammar etc.
